CARTER, Douglas Lee, age 57, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Douglas was born June 3, 1966 in Middletown and lived in this area all his life. He was a Truck Driver for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and spending special times with his family. He was an avid die-hard Bengals fan, following them in both good times and bad. Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul and Aileen (Miller) Carter; brother-in-law, David Potter; sister-in-law, Pamela Gilbert; and niece, Christie Fugate. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Peggy Ann (Potter) Carter; one son, Douglas Lee Carter, Jr.; his sister, Tracey (Michael) Wallace; his sisters-in-law, Linda Williams and Debbie Potter; his brothers-in-law, John Potter and Kenny (Joyce) Potter; niece, Keeley Wallace; nephew, Carter Wallace; great nieces (who he was very close to), Courtney Wright (Joe Puckett) and Cassie Hodge (Timothy Jutzi); great-great nieces, Gracelynn, Lillian, Makenna, Melah, Oakleigh, and Lyla; great-great nephews, Joseph and Asher (on the way); his dearly loved fur baby, Cujo; and many, many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
