David Townsend, age 72, passed away the early morning of December 26, 2022. He was born to the late Pearl and Tommy Townsend on January 13, 1950 in Middletown, Ohio. David honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps serving as a Private First Class. He earned a National Defense Medal as well as a Rifle Marksmanship Badge. Upon completion of his service, he owned and operated Townsend Construction Company for 25 years. In his personal time he enjoyed tinkering, spending time with his grandchildren and performing acts of kindness for others in need. David is survived by his daughters Jeannie (Randy) Tunnell, Staci (Dustin) Howard; four grandchildren Shelby (Gene) Skinner, Jordan (Breanna) Minor, Andrew Bailey, Preston Bailey; great grandchildren Everly Skinner, Aurora Skinner; siblings Richard Townsend, Betty Townsend, Ernie Townsend along with numerous nieces, nephews other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson Maverick Minor and siblings Dale Townsend and Bonnie Townsend. A visitation will take place at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave Middletown, Ohio 45005 on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Jerry Minor will be officiating the service. Burial will take place at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
