Obituary

Kevin J. Flanagan passed peacefully at home on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio August 29, 1955 and moved with the family to Belleville, KS. He graduated from Belleville High School in 1973, went on to earn a BS in Chemistry from Baker University in Baldwin, KS and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton. He worked his entire career as a civilian electrical engineer at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT.

He loved to run and bike long distance, to ride his bike to work, and he loved his electronics. He volunteered at mountain bike races and 5k runs, volunteered at his church, and volunteered in emergency preparedness with the Red Cross. He retired not long ago to enjoy his ham radios. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Loretta Flanagan, he is survived by his sister Beth Flanagan Hard (Matson) and nephew Tyler Giancola.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in West Haven, UT on Wednesday, July 12 at 11 am. A memorial service will follow at a later date in Middletown, Ohio.
