Carolyn “Susie” McCarter, age 66, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born July 16, 1957 in Middletown, OH to George and Audrey Coyner. She was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1975. She worked for Brock’s Trucking for 35 dedicated years. Susie was a God loving Christian, a loyal member of Pennyroyal Baptist Church and an active member of the community. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed the sun and beach. Susie is survived by her beloved husband Sonny McCarter, treasured daughter Valerie (Greg) Dove, stepson Lance McCarter, cherished grandchildren Gabriella Jordan Rodriguez-Dove and Liam and Hudson McCarter. She is also survived by her siblings Michael (Julie) Coyner, Linda Grooms, Melissa (Sherry) Coyner and Jennifer (Mark) Kennard, mother-in-law Miriam McCarter and brothers-in-law Scott (Leigh) McCarter, Shawn (Loralie) McCarter and Justen (Lesley) McCarter. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave. Middletown, OH 45005. There will be a brief prayer service after the visitation followed by burial at Woodside Cemetery.
